Dear Wildcats,
I am honored to join McAllister Elementary School as one of the assistant principals for the 2024-2025 school year.
With prior teaching experience in Lincoln and Chatham counties and having taught and served as an Instructional Lead Teacher at Richmond Hill Elementary School, I bring a deep commitment to educational excellence and a passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Our school’s mission is to provide rigorous educational tasks that challenge and motivate students while always focusing on continuous improvement. I am dedicated to supporting our students, teachers, and families in achieving this mission, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.

Personal Message:
Hello, McAllister family!
I am truly honored and excited to join this incredible school community as your Assistant Principal. Even in these first days of joining the McAllister family, it is already clear that this is a place where relationships are valued, children are celebrated, and people come together with a shared purpose. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, staff, and community and building the meaningful connections that make a school feel like home.
Relationships have always been at the heart of why I chose education. I believe every child deserves to be known, every family deserves to feel welcomed, and every staff member deserves to feel appreciated. When people know they belong, they are more willing to take risks, embrace challenges, and celebrate successes together.
As I begin my journey at McAllister Elementary, I am excited to invest in the relationships that make a school community so special. I look forward to learning from one another, celebrating successes together, and working alongside our dedicated staff and families to support every child.
I believe the best schools are built on trust and teamwork. None of us has all the answers, which is why I value listening, learning from others, and working together. When we support one another and keep children at the center of every decision, amazing things happen.
My greatest joy is watching children discover what they are capable of—not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. I want our students to leave each day knowing they are capable, cared for, and surrounded by adults who believe in them. I also want our teachers and families to know they have a partner who is committed to serving alongside them and celebrating every success—big and small.
I hope every person who crosses my path leaves knowing they were seen, valued, and encouraged. Whether through a conversation, a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or simply being present, I strive to bring kindness, hope, and positivity into each day. I believe the small moments often have the greatest impact, and I want every interaction to reflect the care and respect that every person deserves.
After nine years as an assistant principal, I remain grateful for the opportunity to serve students, families, and educators. I am excited to begin this new chapter at McAllister, and I look forward to partnering with this wonderful community as we learn, grow, and celebrate together. It is a privilege to be part of a school where strong relationships lay the foundation for helping every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I can't wait to see all that we will accomplish together.
Sincerely,
Teresa Reed
Assistant Principal
