McAllister Elementary may only be two years old, but it is strong in its academics and excellence. This was most recently shown with the Science Olympiad Team. The team consists ofa group of students from 3rd - 5th grade that have prepared over the last few months to compete regionally in various areas of Science and even a little bit of Math. The teams for each event are coached by parent volunteers or teachers from McAllister Elementary. On Thursday, March 16, McAllister won the regional competition held at Bryan County Elementary School. McAllister will now represent the region at the State Competition, held at Kennesaw State University, on Saturday May 13.
Students competing are Nolan Belfry, Charlotte Burns, Aiden Cook, Ronald Dandy, Matthias Erickson, Edward Fernandez, Alex Heath, Mason Heath, Tyler Hodges, Ainsley Jajack, Kaitlyn Johnson, Patrick Mahaffey, Marleigh Martinson, Bryce Molpus, Mallory Mulvanity, Cedric Shouse, Aidan Snyder, Gisele Stauffer, and Kaylee Zimmerman.
